11. How to Backup Your Website Print

Backups are crucial to protect your website data from potential loss. In this article, we'll show you how to back up your website using different control panels.


???? For cPanel:

  1. Log into your cPanel account.

  2. Scroll to the Files section and click Backup.

  3. You can either:

    • Download a full backup by clicking Download a Full Website Backup.

    • Backup specific parts such as Home Directory, MySQL Databases, or Email Forwarders and Filters.

  4. After selecting your backup type, click Generate Backup and download it once ready.

To restore a backup:

  1. In the Backup section, click Restore a Backup and upload your backup files.


???? For CWP (Control Web Panel):

  1. Log into your CWP account.

  2. Go to Backups → Backup Settings.

  3. Click on Create Full Backup or choose a partial backup option (e.g., home directory or databases).

  4. Wait for the backup to finish, and then download it from the backup folder.

To restore a backup:

  1. In Backup Settings, click on Restore Backup and select the backup file you want to restore.

  1. Log into Webuzo.

  2. Under Backup, select the type of backup you wish to perform (Full or Partial).

  3. Choose to backup either Home Directory or Databases.

  4. Click Generate Backup to create and download your backup.

To restore a backup:

  1. In the Backup section, select Restore Backup and upload your backup file.

  • Regular backups are essential to prevent data loss due to server failure, hacking, or human error.
